Bio – Educate Ventures Research
Kristina Cordero is Deputy Director of Research and Consultancy at Educate Ventures Research (EVR), where she leads and contributes to projects that seek to understand how AI (and edtech in general) can support, improve and transform teaching and learning. Her project portfolio includes: AI-focused action research programmes across schools and multi-school organisations; edtech impact studies for edtech companies; AI training programmes and workshops for teachers and school leaders; large-scale strategic consulting projects for education regulators; and others. With an undergraduate degree in Romance Languages from Harvard College and a PhD in Computer Science from Universidad Católica de Chile, she enjoys exploring and building bridges between the humanities and the sciences, and across geographies—her work has taken her to the Americas, the UK, Europe, MENA countries, Australia and Asia. Outside of EVR she has taught literature and technology at the university level; mentored edtech startups; and led research and literary projects in libraries and other cultural spaces. In addition to literature and the arts some of her related interests include Social and Emotional Learning, special needs, inclusion and multicultural learning. Mother of two bilingual and bi-cultural daughters, she divides her time between New York City and Santiago, Chile.
